Reforestation of Serbia has started! Thanks to the tennis fans who will watch the Serbia Open from the stands of the “Novak” Tennis Centre in the upcoming days, more than 35,000 seedlings on approximately 100 hectares of land will be planted across our country. Namely, this year, the tournament will also provide a contribution to environmental protection as one tree per each ticket sold will be planted in towns across Serbia!

The campaign was launched when the tournament’s director, Đorđe Đoković, and our young and promising tennis player Kecmanović planted the first tree in Ušće Park, in the vicinity of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade. The campaign continued in Kragujevac, Zrenjanin and Leskovac. Reactions are more than positive and reforestation will move ahead in Niš, Pančevo, Kula, Šabac, Smederevo, Novi Sad and Bačka Topola as well.
