Đere also praised young Međedović after the match, and added that he hoped that Međedović would enter the Top 100.

“We played against each other for the first time. We practiced together at hard court a couple of times. He was definitely a worthy opponent. He lost his grip on the game in the middle of the first and the beginning of the second set. I relied on my experience and managed to turn over
the match. Nonetheless, he played well, and we were similarly levelled opponents. I had to play my best tennis. His serve is great, and he hits drop shots. I wish him all the luck in the future. I hope that he will improve his rankings and enter the Top 100 the same as I did,” Đere explained.
