Tommy Paul is one of the top American tennis players. His highest ranking on the ATP list was achieved on October 2, 2023, when he rose to 12th place. He has won three titles on the ATP tour and reached a significant semifinal at the Australian Open in 2023, becoming the first American in 14 years to reach the semifinals of the first Grand Slam of the season since Andy Roddick. His biggest career victory also came in 2023 when he triumphed over the then-world number one, Carlos Alcaraz, at the ATP Masters in Toronto. He made his country particularly proud this season by winning a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics, alongside his doubles partner, Taylor Fritz.
