Stan Wawrinka
One of the best Swiss tennis players, Stan Wawrinka began his illustrious career in 2001. One of his greatest achievements is winning the gold medal in doubles at the Beijing Olympics with Roger Federer. His first and most significant victory came in 2006 in Umag when he defeated world number 1, Novak Djokovic. Throughout his long career, he won the Davis Cup in 2014 with the Swiss national team. He claimed his first Masters 1000 title in 2014 at the Monte Carlo tournament, defeating his compatriot Roger Federer. Wawrinka is a titleholder at three Grand Slam tournaments: the Australian Open in 2014, the French Open in 2015, and the US Open in 2016. His highest ranking on the ATP list is 3rd.
