Marin Cilic is a Grand Slam champion and a former world No. 3. The most successful season of the Croatian tennis player was in 2014 when he won 4 titles, including the US Open, where he defeated Japanese player Kei Nishikori in the final. His highest ranking came in 2018 when he reached the final of the Australian Open and won the 500 series tournament in Queen’s. Throughout his career, he has triumphed in 21 tournaments, and besides the US Open, his most significant title came at the Masters in Cincinnati in 2016. He is known for playing his best tennis at Grand Slam events, as, in addition to his US Open title and final at the Australian Open, he also reached the final at Wimbledon in 2017 and the semifinals of the French Open in 2022.
