Lorenzo Musetti is one of the most talented young tennis players of his generation. The Italian started playing tennis at a very early age and has been a professional player since 2019. He made a significant breakthrough on the ATP rankings in 2021 when he entered the TOP 100 players, with his first major success coming at the ATP tournament in Acapulco, where he reached the semifinals after defeating several high-ranked players. That same year, he made it to the quarterfinals of the Monte Carlo Masters and then the fourth round of the French Open, where he put up a strong fight against Novak Djokovic. After reaching his fourth ATP Tour semifinal at the European Open in Hamburg in 2022, with a win over Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, Musetti entered the top 50 for the first time. He went on to win the final against world No. 6 and top seed Carlos Alcaraz, claiming his first ATP title and ATP 500 tournament victory. This year, Musetti achieved his best Grand Slam result by reaching the semifinals at Wimbledon, followed by winning a bronze medal at the Paris Olympic Games. His highest ATP ranking was No. 15, achieved in June 2023.
