Good friends and partners will continue to cooperate: today, a special event was held in the Belgrade Arena – the signing of a contract between the Belgrade Open tournament, Arena Channels Group, as well as the tournament and Telekom Srbija.
The ATP 250 Series is an event that has brought together many big names from the world of tennis, including: Stan Wawrinka, Marin Cilic, as well as Serbian players Dusan Lajovic, Hamad Medjedovic, Laslo Djere and many others.
TV Arena sport recognized the importance of holding such a tournament in the capital of Serbia, so it accepted with great pleasure the continuation of cooperation, just like Telekom Srbija.
Cooperation agreements were signed by: Djordje Djokovic, the Manager of the Belgrade Open tournament, Nebojsa Zugic, CEO of Arena channels group and Telekom’s CEO Vladimir Lucic.
“It is a great honor and pleasure for me to sign a contract with TV Arena sport and Telekom Serbia. I am glad that they recognized the magnitude of this tournament and the importance of holding this event. Year after year, these are the best partners we could imagine. As I have reiterated several times, our goal is to keep this license in Belgrade as long as possible. By the end of this year, we will probably obtain the multi-decade license for our capital. It is an honor to have such partners, who will support us in the years to come. We want this tournament to grow and we hope to reach our higher goal, which is the license and the ATP 500,” said Djordje Djokovic, the Manager of the Belgrade Open tournament.
The CEO of Telekom, Vladimir Lucic, expressed his satisfaction that this successful company will continue its cooperation with the Belgrade Open tournament.
“I would like to express great pleasure and gratitude that we were chosen as a long-term partner of this tournament. We consider it extremely important for the further promotion of tennis and for all that Novak Djokovic has done for the promotion of the sport. We want to continue on this path and for this tournament to be one of the triggers of interest of younger generations in tennis. Telekom Srbija invests a lot in and helps local sports. We have completed the picture with TV Arena sport. Telekom Srbija is the sponsor, and Arena is practically one of the best sports channels in the region. We also promote sports by broadcasting all the events. We believe that tennis is one of the sports that we must promote in the future. I am sure that this will tournament, after existing for a while, will trigger people’s interest in tennis. I wish to thank Djordje Djokovic for his professionalism, as well as Arena Sport TV for everything they have done and for how dominant they have been in promoting sports in Serbia,” Lucic concluded.
Nebojsa Zugic, CEO of Arena Channels Group, had only words of praise for the cooperation with the Belgrade Open tournament and Telekom Srbija.
“What is important to emphasize here is that Arena Channels Group has become synonymous with connecting sports and television. I am proud of my team and everything we have achieved, what we are doing now and what we will do in the future. Our plans do not stop here. We still intend to raise the quality of the broadcasts and their number, which has already greatly exceeded 7,000 lives per year, which is a truly impressive number. Arena’s employees know how demanding and difficult it is. First of all, I would like express my gratitude for the great support we have been enjoying from our parent company, Telekom Srbija. If it weren’t for that phenomenal synergy and support, we wouldn’t be where we are today. I would also like to thank Djordje Djokovic and the people who run the tournament for their great professionalism and for bringing this tournament to Serbia and for putting this ATP tournament in Belgrade on the world map,” said Zugic.
