Jamie Murray paired with John Peers has the opportunity to defend the title won last year in Banja Luka. The Grand Slam champion advanced to the finals today, after an easy victory against Nicolas Barrientos and David Pel.
Once again, after the match, Murray pointed out that he always felt good at this tournament, and he also praised the complete organization of the Belgrade Open.
“A great, pleasant week, the hall is close to our accommodation, the training courts are right next door, I’m really happy with the complex,” said Jamie Murray.
The Brit is delighted with the support from the stands, and the Belgrade audience knows how to reward every good move.
“The audience that comes to the matches really enjoys tennis. You can see that they love and follow the sport in Belgrade. I’m glad that after so many successes Serbia has had in the last twenty years in tennis, it also has such a big tournament”.
Last year, Murray shined in Banja Luka, so it’s no wonder that he wishes for the same scenario this year.
“I was at the tournament in Banja Luka last year, actually, we had a really good time, that’s why we decided to come back this year,” Murray concluded.
