In the doubles final at the Belgrade Open tournament, Jamie Murray and John Peers celebrated after a great fight to defeat Ivan Dodig and Skander Morosan 2:1 in sets 3:6, 7:6, 11:9.

The Brit managed to defend the trophy won last year in Banja Luka.

“A phenomenal week is behind me. I want to thank Djordje Djokovic and his team for a fantastic tournament, to all the volunteers, and to the fans that supported us in Belgrade on the stands. I really enjoyed these few days here,” said Jamie Murray, who reminded the audience that he celebrated in Banja Luka last year as well.

The Brit especially thanked his doubles partner John Peers.

“I hereby thank Peers who made it possible for me to grab another trophy. “I really had a great time in Belgrade, I hope to see you next year,” Murray concluded.

John Peers also thanked the organizers, pointing out that the tournament was fantastically organized.
