Aslan Karatsev

Aslan Karatsev is a Russian tennis player who passed the qualifications in 2021 in order to qualify for the Australian Open. In his first main draw at a Grand Slam, he defeated the 8th seed Diego Schwartzman, 20th seed Felix Auger-Aliassime and 18th seed Grigor Dimitrov and reached the semi-finals. Karatsev is the first tennis player in the Open Era who reached the semi-finals in his debut performance at a Grand Slam tournament.
