History
The Belgrade Open is a prestigious ATP 250 tournament that will be held in Belgrade from November 2nd to November 9th, 2024.
Located at the legendary Belgrade Arena, this tennis spectacle will be a hard court tournament, and tennis fans from Serbia, the region, and around the world will have the opportunity to enjoy matches featuring players from the top of the ATP rankings.
The tournament will bring together many big names from the tennis world, including Frances Tiafoe, Stan Wawrinka, Lorenzo Musetti, Tommy Paul, Alex de Minaur, Marin Čilić, and many others. These outstanding athletes will showcase their best moves and will fight for the title in front of an audience that will watch the matches on two courts – Center Court and the Grandstand.
The singles competition will feature 28 players in the main draw, with three receiving wild cards, and four players securing participation through the tournament’s qualifying rounds, held on November 2nd and 3rd. The main singles draw will also include 19 players based on their ATP rankings, while 16 pairs of players will compete in the double’s competition.

The Belgrade Arena
The Belgrade Open 2024 tournament will be the seventh professional tournament held in Belgrade from 2021.
The previous six ATP and WTA tournaments were held in April, on outdoor clay courts. Each year brought something new and betther that the previous yers, but the Belgrade Open tournament will introduce the biggest changes so far. This ATP 250 tournament will not only be played on a different type of court surface – hard-court, but also indoors, at the Belgrade Arena, making it even more exciting.
From November 2nd to 9th, the Belgrade Arena will become the “new home of tennis” and the epicenter of tennis events, providing players and fans with an unforgettable experience.
The Belgrade Arena complex, a multifunctional sports venue that has hosted an impressive number of competitions in various sports, will undergo several transformations for the tournament, adorned in the tennis spirit and the colors of the Belgrade Open.
The central space of the Arena, where the courts will be located, will be fully adapted to the needs of the tournament. It will feature a hall divided into two sections, where two professional hard courts – Center Court and the Grandstand – will be set up, providing the necessary dynamic and parallel matches. The courts will be constructed using the highest quality materials, comparable to those used at legendary tournaments like the US Open.
A specially constructed wall will separate the space between the two courts. This wall will ensure that sound distractions between the courts are almost completely eliminated, giving players better focus and peace during their matches, while the audience enjoys an enhanced atmosphere on both courts, as the Arena’s acoustics will be utilized to its full potential. This separation will not only provide essential functionality but will also be a real attraction for the audience, who will see the Belgrade Arena in this form for the first time, at least when it comes to tennis.
In addition to the central space of the Arena, other rooms will also be adapted to meet the needs of players and visitors. The ground floor of the Belgrade Arena will be equipped and strategically divided to meet all player needs, providing easy access to the courts, warm-up area, and media center. The upper floor of the Arena will be dedicated to player’s rest and entertainment between matches, designed to provide them with the necessary privacy and comfort after hours spent on the court.
The area outside the Arena will also be adapted for players’ needs, with outdoor training courts set up in an enclosed and covered space of 1,600m², providing all necessary conditions for training and preparation before matches.
Equal attention will be given to tournament visitors, and this year the Arena will feature, not one, bu two FAN zones, at the northern and southern entrances, offering numerous attractions, activities, and never-before-seen surprises.
