Tomaš Mahač, currently the best Czech tennis player, has reached the best ranking of his career, 25th place on the ATP rankings, after a brilliant performance at the Masters tournament in Shanghai. After defeating the second-ranked player in the world, Carlos Alcaraz, he advanced to his first Masters Series semifinal, where he was stopped by the world’s number one player, Jannik Sinner. He played his first ATP Tour final this summer at a 250 Series tournament in Geneva, where he defeated Novak Djokovic on his way to that final.
