The list of players confirmed for the Belgrade Open tournament continues to grow more impressive, with the latest addition being another Grand Slam champion—celebrated Croatian tennis player Marin Cilic.
Cilic, a former US Open champion and holder of 20 career titles, is one of Croatia’s most successful athletes. Known for his powerful serves and long-standing presence at the top of world tennis, his experience and ability to handle the pressure of big matches—demonstrated most recently at the Hangzhou Open 250, where he claimed the title—will undoubtedly set the bar high for the Belgrade Open title.
Along with Cilic, who becomes the second Grand Slam champion to confirm participation along with Stan Wawrinka, young Italian player Flavio Cobolli has also confirmed his presence. Cobolli, is known for his energy and fighting spirit on the court. He is enjoying the best season of his career and is carving his path to the top of world tennis.
Belgrade will also host two talented Argentine players—Francisco Cerundolo and Tomas Martin Etcheverry. American Brandon Nakashima, another rising star, will also compete at the Belgrade Open. At the ATP 250 Belgrade Open 2024, 28 players will compete in the singles main draw, with three receiving wildcards, and four securing their spots through the qualifying rounds, which will take place on November 2nd and 3rd. The main draw singles will also include 19 players based on their ATP rankings, while 16 pairs will compete in the double’s competition.
